4 months later

I feel pretty good despite still suffering from exhaustion. Maybe this is God's way of preparing me for the many sleepless nights that are right around the corner. Time is flying, let me tell you. I can't believe we're almost at 5 mos. There is so much to do, so much to learn and so many decisions to make. Do we bottle feed, breast feed, disposable diapers, cloth diapers, what daycare, what color to paint the nursery, what decor to use, which furniture is best.

We're definitely going to do the nursery in Mother Goose. I have found bedding with the Hey Diddle Diddle nursery rhyme. It's really cute. There is a rug and a little stool to match (not pictured). I'm going to try to draw my own stencils for the wall but if that doesn't turn out, there are neat decals I can buy. First of course, we have to clean out the extra bedroom that is currently storing everything that we can't find a home for. haha. That should be fun. Click on the picture to make it larger.

I would like to try to BF because I've been reading that it's so much better for the baby than formula. But no one that I know has done that, so I'd be the first. I would definitely pump also because I wouldn't want to deprive Brian of feeding the baby, plus with going back to work, I'd have to. I'm also looking at the new version of the cloth diapers. They are called bumgenious diapers. They are a little expensive in the beginning but cheaper than disposables in the long run and then I wouldn't have to worry about them being in a landfill for years to come. Still doing more research on them as well though. Daycare most likely will require disposables and if that's the case there is a brand called 7th Generation that is Eco friendly, so that part I'm not too concerned with. We haven't really started looking at baby gear yet and there is a book called baby bargains that comes highly recommended before deciding what to get.

My cravings lean more towards sweet things, which normally I could care less if I ate. The only treat that's a staple in this house is ice cream (chocolate & pb - my favorite) My first was the Shamrock Shake, I wanted one not long after finding out I was pregnant and it wasn't even March yet. The Shamrock Shake season lasted just long enough to satisfy my craving. Next came my only non sweet craving, my obsession with Arby's. I maybe eat there once to twice a year. I have eaten enough Aby's in the last month to last me the next 10 years. The funny thing is, I can only eat it from the one in Niagara Falls in the ghetto. The Arby's in Lockport is HORRIBLE. When it comes to ice cream I prefer anything that has pb in it but lately I can't stand it. I have never in my life ordered or purchased cookies & cream. But for whatever reason, that is the flavor I LOVE right now. Sometimes Brian will buy cookies and I might have a few, well last weekend I HAD to have oreos, now IF I were to buy cookies (which is rare) it would be Chips Ahoy, not oreos. I'm not nor have I ever been a huge donut eater and last week I was craving the Hostess donette kind. The chocolate covered mini's and the white powdered ones. Last but not least the one food that I absolutely love and would eat every day if I could is Pizza. The thought of it now makes me turn my nose up at it. We have ordered it a few times but it just sucks, no matter what place it comes from. Ugh!!

Our next checkup is this coming week. I don't think it will be anything exciting, but we might be able to hear the heartbeat again. The big one is coming up soon 5/8 and then hopefully we'll know if the baby is going to be named Olivia or Jacob. We are so excited!!! Can't wait to find out.
