It's confirmed, we're having a baby!!!

Yesterday was my first doctor's appointment. Congratulations, you are all going to be aunts/uncles, great aunts/uncles, grandparents and great grandparents. Unfortunately we were not able to hear a heartbeat but the doctor said everything looks great and is as it should be. She eased my fears on some things. I was disappointed we couldn't hear the little guy or girl BUT I'm very happy. My next appt is in 4 weeks. Brian and I have decided to have the Nuchal Scan which screens for Down Syndrome. Maybe this time we'll get to see the heartbeat because it's a non invasive ultra sound. My estimated due date is 10/6/08. Stay tuned...

I'm pregnant!!!

So here is my first blog and I'm very excited to type these next few words. Brian and I are expecting our very first child. Yup, I'm pregnant, according to my calculations about 7 weeks and 6 days. My first doctor's appt is this coming Thursday. I'm very nervous. Nervous about everything. So far the only symptoms I have had are a heightened sense of smell, sore chest and fatique and for about the last 2 weeks, loss of appetite. No morning sickness and I hope it continues that way. We're trying not to be overly excited in case something unfortunate happens. I've been reading so much about everything. I pray that on Thursday we are able to hear a heartbeat.
